Multilingual Language Services
Effective communication doesn’t start with translation. It starts with understanding how people make meaning—through language, culture, history, symbolism, and lived experience.
MG designs language-centered communication that is culturally grounded and audience-driven. We develop content in the language communities use every day, ensuring communication is relevant, respectful, and effective across diverse cultural contexts.
Spanish-Language Creative
Spanish is a core language and cultural capability at MG, integrated into our creative and strategic work. We offer full-scope Spanish-language services developed originally in Spanish.
Our work is led by a full-time team of bilingual, bicultural strategic communicators in the U.S. and Mexico who are native Spanish speakers and experienced creative professionals. We think, write, and design from within the language and cultural context of the audiences we seek to reach.
We tailor communication to regional and cultural differences—including the U.S., Mexico and Central America, the Caribbean, and South America—as well as to varying literacy levels, migration histories, and community realities.
Our Spanish-language work spans the full range of MG’s services, including branding, formative and evaluative research, campaign strategy and creative, multimedia tools and materials, social marketing and movement-building, facilitation and engagement design, and digital strategy.
Transcreation
When original creation in the target language is not possible, MG offers transcreation to adapt messages, campaigns, and creative for different cultural contexts.
Transcreation is not translation. It is a creative and strategic process that re-imagines content so that meaning, tone, visuals, and intent resonate with the intended audience—not just linguistically, but culturally.
Our transcreation work is led by bilingual, bicultural creative professionals who listen deeply to understand how communities experience institutions, systems, and issues. We consider culture, power, literacy, regional variation, and emotional resonance—ensuring communication feels native, relevant, and trustworthy.
Content Testing
Wherever possible, we strongly recommend testing communication materials with members of the communities for whom they are intended. MG brings decades of experience designing and facilitating in-person and virtual community sessions to test cultural context, terminology, framing, imagery, symbolism, and calls to action as people would use them in practice. This collaborative testing helps ensure messages are clear, culturally grounded, and actionable in real-world settings.
Translation
In some cases, translation is the most appropriate approach—particularly for technical, regulatory, or informational content, or when budget or timelines do not allow for original creation or transcreation.
In these instances, MG partners with highly specialized, certified translation firms with deep linguistic expertise and strong quality assurance standards. We work closely with these partners to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with the original intent. Where appropriate, we also recommend review by community members or subject-matter experts to confirm terminology, comprehension, resonance, and usability.
