Sarah manages MG’s new business development efforts. Working out of the Portland office, She coordinates with MG strategists to identify and respond to new project opportunities, promote MG services and qualifications, and manage internal projects and initiatives.
Specifically, Sarah leads MG’s proposal process and supports positioning efforts companywide. She works across departments to track opportunities and relationships, leverage community and industry engagement, and execute marketing tactics on behalf of the agency.
Sarah has worked for the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years in the fields of human rights, international social justice, environmental protection, corporate accountability and public health. Throughout her career she has honed her communications skills by developing strategic communications plans that contribute to social change. Tactically, this includes developing creative concepts for campaign launches and by securing earned media in outlets from Reuters to CNN, Condé Nast and Nigeria’s daily newspapers as digital storytelling and email marketing. She has written for varied audiences across multiple platforms, and has developed sophisticated print materials for individual donor cultivation.
Away from the office, Sarah is most at home on backcountry hiking trails of the Pacific Northwest, Colorado and California. She also spends her time as a volunteer for City Repair – a Portland-based organization that fosters thriving, inclusive and sustainable communities through the creative reclamation of public space.
Sarah earned her bachelor of arts in Anthropology from the University of Colorado.
