The Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, engaged MG to develop a new strategic plan, including articulation of a new vision to guide the agency’s work.
MG engaged in significant stakeholder engagement, including public meetings, discussion groups with working artists and school administrators, statewide web-based survey, and planning retreats with the board and staff of the Illinois Arts Council.
Drawing on all of this input, MG drafted a new vision for the agency: building a strong, creative, and connected Illinois through the engagement of all Illinoisans in the pursuit of, participation in, and enjoyment of the arts.
The plan developed by MG included its overarching goal, measurable objectives, and key strategies. The plan was adopted by the Illinois Arts Council and received widespread endorsement and praise from other state arts agencies.
