The Women’s Foundation of California: Accelerating change

MG_Web_WFCCalifornia is the ninth largest economy in the world, but one in three of the state’s single mothers are living in poverty. The recession and state budget cuts have disproportionately devastated programs that help families weather a financial crisis and chart a course toward economic security and independence. The Women’s Foundation of California is ensuring that women get the tools they need – like job training, subsidized childcare, cash assistance, and higher education – to make it on their own. The Foundation is partnering with Metropolitan Group on communication and resource development planning that will accelerate strategies that support women in California to meet their family’s basic needs today, secure their children’s future, and contribute to a California where everyone can thrive.
