
In a February event featuring First Lady Michelle Obama, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announced that it is doubling its commitment to helping all children grow up at a healthy weight, dedicating a total of $1 billion since 2007. Encouraged by recent positive signs of national childhood obesity rates beginning to level off and even decline, the Foundation is committed to expanding and accelerating that progress.
In preparation for this next phase of work, MG is helping the Foundation create new messages to inspire communities to become places where every child grows up at a healthy weight, no matter who they are or where they live. Our work will help the Foundation and its grantees to engage parents, healthcare professionals, early childhood providers, the faith community and many other partners to continue prioritizing this critical health, social and equity issue.
