We are excited to share that Maria Elena has joined the Latino Network board of directors.
Latino Network advances academic achievement, civic engagement and leadership development among Hispanic adults, youth and children in Oregon. The organization works to eliminate barriers to family wage jobs, adequate housing, economic stability and access to higher education to help the Latino community achieve its potential and help families thrive. It was founded in 1996 and serves approximately 1500 Latino children, youth and adults each year.
“We are thrilled that we have an innovative community and business leader and civil rights advocate like Maria Elena joining the Latino Network board. Her leadership in advocacy and education comes to us at a critical time of growth for the Network,” said Carmen Rubio, executive director of Latino Network. “We are fortunate to have this organizational expert committed to our growing community.”
