MG welcomes Shakirah Hill as our new VP of Digital Strategy

Welcome, Shakirah!

Shakirah comes to MG as a seasoned digital campaigner, fundraiser and strategist. With a background in social impact and digital marketing, Shakirah draws on her experience working in the public, private and nonprofit sectors to develop innovative online campaigns that drive positive change. She has expertise in digital marketing, social media, online advocacy, social impact and client services. Past clients include the U.S. Olympic Committee for their digital campaign during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the NAACP for their campaign to restore the Voting Rights Act as well as online initiatives for Communication Workers of America, UNCF, Equal Justice Works, Wolf Trap Foundation, America’s Promise Alliance, and Case Foundation.

And, she couldn’t be joining MG at a better time.  As we expand our digital offerings to better meet our clients’ needs, Shakirah will help grow our existing capabilities and bring new and innovative ideas to the table.

Before joining us, Shakirah was the Director of Digital Strategy for Communities In Schools, an account director at Blue State Digital and she spent time as an account supervisor at Environics Communications. Read her full bio.

Beyond her expertise in digital strategy, Shakirah is a public speaker and presenter. Recent presentations include keynote addresses for the Public Relations Society of America New Media Conference, the Girl Scouts of America Leadership Conference and as a leadership panelist for the Dare to Do Conference.

When we first met Shakirah, we asked her what she was passionate about. She answered that her passions are engaging multicultural audiences, education, sustainability and health equity.  In other words, many of the things we are passionate about too. We couldn’t have found a better fit!
