In our 30th year of business we have reflected on the importance of the work we do. We are reminded constantly about why we do this work — because we are driven by our mission to empower social purpose organizations to build a just and sustainable world. It is with excitement that we share that we have re-certified as a B Corp and were recently recognized as Best for the World (overall social impact), Best for Workers (policies, benefits, pay equity) and Best for Governance (transparency, corporate responsibility) by B Lab. Every year, B Lab, the global nonprofit that certifies and supports Certified B Corporations, recognizes the top-performing B Corps around the world with verified B Impact Assessment scores in the top 10% of all B Corps.
Today there are 3,000 Certified B Corporations across 64 countries and 150 industries, unified by one common goal: to redefine success in business. It’s our continued commitment to push ourselves to be better for our workers, clients, communities and the world.
It gives us hope that the B movement continues to grow and that we are part of a community making change for a positive world . To our fellow B Corps and Best for the World honorees, we are proud to work alongside you in this movement. See the list of B Corps and Best for the World honorees here.

This year at the B Corps Champions Retreat, the B Lab team rolled out the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all through the Sustainable Development Goals from the U.N. These are global challenges facing the world related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. We are committed to equally shifting the narrative and moving the needle on these issues, to taking action and being a part of the change through our work to achieve these 17 goals to transform the world. A stake in our neighbors’ dreams
The recent announcement that 181 CEOs from the Business Roundtable have committed to focus beyond shareholder primacy is a good step toward a broader commitment and movement to operate businesses that benefit workers, communities, customers and all stakeholders. We also know this is just the start in taking responsibility for our role in shaping our economies, environment, policies and communities.
We heard at the Champions Retreat how we all have “a stake in our neighbors’ dreams.” Those dreams need to be driven with equity at the center. We need to be combating climate change; demanding equality, accountability and transparency from our governments; protecting our kids and neighbors from gun violence; promoting well-being and access to good health care for all; and engaging with many more societal challenges facing our world. Metropolitan Group is working every day for these changes. We are inspired by our B Corp peers, our community partners and our team that brings passion to serve a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
