It was 25 years ago today that four friends sketched out the plan for a social change agency on the back of a napkin. Over the years, we have learned numerous lessons, and as we looked forward to the next 25 years, three themes that are at the core of our work emerged:
The power of voice (and who has it) is one of the most important tools to impact social change.
Organizations that use the power of voice to advance a just and sustainable world are change agents and their voices need to be amplified.
The combination of strategy (focusing voice in the right way, place, and time) and creative (showing and telling a great story that resonates and inspires action) amplifies the power of voice and – ultimately – changes attitudes, behaviors, policies, and culture.
At Metropolitan Group, we are honored to be a strategic and creative partner for many of the world’s change agents. It is all we have done for the past 25 years.
Please take a moment to explore our annual report microsite, which our team created for this occasion. As we looked back over our 25th year to share stories, work, ideas, and fun in our annual report to stakeholders, we decided to share them as 25 napkin sketches.
We thank you for being part of our community and for your work to advance social justice.
