NBC Nightly News spotlights libraries making a difference during tough economic times
December 15, 2008—The important role libraries are playing during tough economic times was the focus of an NBC Nightly News report recently. The NBC report discussed how the economic climate is forcing people to find new ways to save money. “The library business, it seems, is booming,” said NBC’s Brian Williams. Click here for more info. PLA Advocacy Toolkit
MG collaborated with the Public Library Association (PLA) to create the advocacy toolkit and training entitled Libraries Prosper with Passion, Purpose and Persuasion. The toolkit is a road map for libraries to use in building community support so that they have the resources required to meet community needs. The toolkit is available at the ALA Store (noted as a “bestseller!").
