Darlene Coleman
Of Counsel
Darlene Coleman knows that it’s the small, well-executed details of an event that create a story—a lasting impression—for the people attending. An event coordinator for the past 14 years, Darlene has created many lasting impressions. Most recently, she’s put her passion for creating memorable experiences to good use for various organizations in Portland, Oregon. She collaborated with Metropolitan Group in the execution of strategic events for Oregon Health & Science University as logistics manager for the grand opening of Oregon Health & Science University’s Peter O. Kohler Pavilion, as well as for the gala and opening celebration of OHSU’s Center for Health & Healing in Portland’s new South Waterfront District.
Darlene has also served as director of the Celebration of Courage events for the Children’s Cancer Association for two years, and has also worked on the national stage over the years in the execution of various national conventions for clients including Gold’s Gym, McCallister’s Deli and Fantastic Sams.
Prior to starting her own business, Down to the Details, Darlene was a marketing manager and planned events for Andersen Consulting and a local mortgage broker. Clients describe her as endlessly creative and capable of executing every detail in ways that appear effortless. Darlene has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Oregon State University.
